Salary: Negotiable competitive salary depending on experience, bonus, car/car allowance, NMC/RCN fees, and additional package benefits

Hours: Standard working day would be 8.30, but this would be dependent on the travel to the practice location

Role Type: Nurse Specialist, Nurse Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Respiratory Nurse Specialist as part of an expanding National Respiratory team, delivering the highest quality of care to improve patient outcomes in line with local and national guidelines working in primary care. As a specialist nurse advisor with an intimate understanding of national treatment guidelines, you will work together with patients and practices to assist healthcare professionals to deliver the most up to date care for their patients.

In this role you will:
  1. Conduct COPD/Asthma patient reviews either via telephone or through a video-consultation or in general practice where appropriate according to need.
  2. Support healthcare professionals/patients to make informed decisions about treatment pathways in Asthma and COPD.
  3. Work in partnership with the NHS in primary care, delivering a unique nursing programme which will focus closely on driving best practice, delivering excellent patient care and improving patient outcomes.

This is a role with responsibility for a defined geographical area and so requires excellent planning & organisational skills along with confident driving. You will need to be flexible in relation to travel and occasionally stay away from home as required by the business.

The client is a leading service provider driving healthcare strategies to deliver measurable outcomes in Respiratory, Diabetes and Cardiovascular disease areas.

Qualifications

Essential:

  1. First Level Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered
  2. A recognised qualification or diploma in Asthma/COPD
  3. Full UK Driving Licence
  4. ARTP qualified
  5. Hold the ENB 998 teaching and assessing course or equivalent
Person experience required

This role will suit a patient focused NMC registered nurse who can demonstrate experience of working in Asthma and COPD. Excellent planning & organisational skills along with confident driving ability.
