Hotel Development Cost Manager Opportunity in London

We are seeking an experienced cost manager to join our team as a Senior Hotel Development Cost Manager. This role involves working with our client, a specialist hotel developer, on new build and refurbishment projects within the UK and abroad.

About the Role

This is a contract position with the potential to extend or convert to a permanent role. As a Senior Hotel Development Cost Manager, you will be responsible for cost planning and reporting to the construction development director.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, preferably within the hotel, hospitality, and leisure sectors. They will also possess comprehensive understanding of detailed cost planning and scope of works expertise.

Main Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing cost plans for new build and refurbishment projects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost estimation and planning
  • Maintaining and managing budgets, forecasts, and reports
  • Providing expert advice on cost modelling, risk assessment, and value engineering
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong understanding of cost management principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
