Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and empathetic individual to work as a Leaving Care Personal Advisor with Cheshire East Council. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to care leavers, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Build Trust: Establish strong, trusting relationships with care leavers, listening to their needs and concerns.
  2. Support Planning: Collaborate with care leavers to create personalized support plans, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
  3. Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support in crisis situations, working flexibly to ensure the well-being of care leavers.
  4. Culturally Sensitive Practice: Deliver services with respect for diversity, acknowledging the differences that make each individual unique.
Requirements:
  1. Education: NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance, Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
  2. Skills: Proven ability to work with vulnerable young people, understanding their needs and concerns.
  3. Travel and Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Cheshire East and flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, based on experience.
