Learning Disability Mental Health Specialist

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our innovative In-Reach team. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with colleagues across Oxleas acute and crisis teams, providing expertise in supporting people with learning disabilities.
As a Band 7 nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care is provided to individuals with learning disabilities. Your duties will include developing formal links with inpatient wards, identifying reasonable adjustments, and coordinating regular meetings with the In-Reach Psychiatrist and nursing associate role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse with experience working with people who have a learning disability and additional mental health problems. You will be an RNLD or RMN with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and relevant NHS policy.
Educated to at least degree level or equivalent with a specialist Mental Health qualification if RNLD and LD qualification if RMN. Ability to communicate complex health information to patients and carers/family. Understanding of Clinical Audit, Research, and Development.
This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday across all Oxleas mental health units with a base at QMH. The salary for this position is approximately £43,041 - £70,305 per annum.
