**Job Title:** Senior Crisis Care Specialist

**Estimated Salary:** £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Senior Crisis Care Specialist. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide face-to-face A&E psychiatric assessments, risk assessments, and safe discharge plans for young people in crisis.

As part of the North West London CAMHS Transformation, we aim to develop a 24-hour crisis care pathway that supports children and young people with mental health crises. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small caseload, offering therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively with community CAMHS teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attend A&E for mental health assessment and safe discharge planning.
  • Offer therapeutic interventions to young people and their families in crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with all agencies in the community, including local CAMHS teams.
  • To undertake initial mental health and risk assessments following acts of deliberate self-harm and/or acute mental health crises.
  • To consult with staff in local CAMHS teams to provide further specialist assessment if necessary.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to individuals in crisis. You should have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in crisis care or a similar setting.
  • Strong assessment and risk management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other agencies.
