Homelessness Prevention Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Engagement and Assessment Worker to join our team at Crisis Skylight Brent. In this role, you will be part of our Engagement and Assessment Team, providing a high-quality, non-judgmental service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre. You will be the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters.
Your key responsibilities will include providing information about Crisis' services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services. You will also manage a small caseload and work collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Brent's Coaching and Learning Teams.
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, using your skills and experience to provide a safe and supportive service to our clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of working with homeless or other vulnerable groups, as well as a good understanding of homelessness, housing, and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures. You will also need to have excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of customer care and high-quality IAG.
