Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SEN Learning Mentor to join our team at a fantastic SEND school in the Walsall area. As an integral member of the support staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experiences of primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 Teaching or Childcare Qualification and have experience working within SEND settings, particularly supporting children with Autism. You will be responsible for providing tailored support to individuals and small groups, promoting inclusive practices, and contributing to the overall well-being of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with teachers and other support staff.
  • Employ strategies to enhance engagement, motivation, and participation among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching or Childcare Qualification.
  • Proven experience working within SEND settings, preferably supporting children with Autism.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits
  • A salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
