Special Needs Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd in Telford. As a 1:1 support worker, you will work closely with children who have special educational needs, such as autism.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting pupils and making a positive impact on their lives. They must be able to demonstrate a fair and consistent approach to supporting teaching.
Nurturing supportive relationships and demonstrating a practical, hands-on approach to supporting teaching are essential skills for this role.
- Experience or interest in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Asperger's, Autism, ADHD, speech and/or language difficulties, and cerebral palsy.
- A proven track record of working with children with challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability when it comes to timetabling and daily routines.
- An enhanced DBS check is required.
Applicants must hold the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All candidates must undertake a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
We estimate that the salary for this role is around £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
