Front Desk Support Officer

Are you a highly organized and customer-focused individual looking for a challenging role in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking a skilled Receptionist/Telephonist to join our team at The Hawthorns Surgery.
This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming a permanent one, offering up to 35 hours per week, 5 days a week, morning and afternoon shifts. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our surgery.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality at all times. You will be computer literate and flexible, with the capacity to cover annual leave and sickness absences as required.
In this role, you will work closely with our Reception Lead to provide support and ensure the efficient management of patient queries, appointments, and correspondence. Your duties will include dealing with patient enquires, explaining procedures, making new and follow-up appointments, and receiving and making telephone calls as needed.
You will also be responsible for entering patient information into our computer system, retrieving and re-filing records, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our reception area. If you have experience working in General Practice or a healthcare environment and possess a basic standard of education to secondary school level, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately &163;25,000 - &163;30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
