Job Summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Hospital Transportation Associate. This role is responsible for transporting patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital, while also maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Compensation: $28-$38 per hour (based on experience)

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Round patients off from various departments in a timely manner.
  2. Utilize Automated Medical Equipment to transport patients.
  3. Conduct regular upkeep and maintenance of stretcher and wheelchair equipment.
  4. Operate within established safety protocols.
  5. Properly utilize checklists during transports.
  6. Follow directives from supervisory staff and maintain open communication channels.
  7. Foster a culture of customer satisfaction through exceptional interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of patient transport experience.
  • Strong understanding of infection control policies.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare setting.
