Job Description:

As a Patient Transport Operations Coordinator with G4S Technology, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe day-to-day operations of our patient transport services. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the distribution of patient journeys, managing operational staff, and providing effective communication links with the public and healthcare professionals.

About the Role:
  • To provide exceptional telephone support to patients, healthcare professionals, and other agencies, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • To accurately record and update patient-related information on our computer system, utilizing our control system to plan patient transportation and manage resources effectively.
  • To communicate journey details to vehicle crew staff via phone and mobile data terminals, updating our system accordingly.
  • To liaise with G4S Patient Transport Contracts, staff, and other agencies through phone and email, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • To adhere to service procedures and instructions, achieving performance standards and participating in ongoing quality reviews.
  • To undertake administrative duties as directed, including filing and other tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in using a telephone and email for regular communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and handling multiple tasks effectively without compromising performance standards.
  • Inquisitive mind and proven questioning skills, with an assertive yet empathetic approach when interacting with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire a thorough understanding of service procedures and instructions, working effectively within defined guidelines.
  • A high level of commitment to delivering an efficient and effective service, with a good general education and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
