Civic & Community Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Civic & Community Officer to join our team at CV-Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing civic and community events ensuring they run smoothly, and fostering community engagement through well-organized and impactful events.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Events management: Coordinating and executing events that promote community engagement and social cohesion.
  • Civic events coordination: Working with local authorities and stakeholders to plan and deliver civic events that meet the needs of the community.
  • Budget management: Managing budgets for events and initiatives to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Committee meeting attendance: Representing the organization at committee meetings to discuss event plans and progress.
  • Key holder for hires & weddings: Ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made for weddings and other events held at the venue.
  • Attendance at civic events: Representing the organization at civic events to promote community engagement and social cohesion.
  • Marketing and communication: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote events and engage with the community.
  • Community engagement: Building relationships with community groups and organizations to promote events and foster community engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the growth and development of the community. We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
