Senior Sexual Health Specialist

The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sexual Health Specialist to join our team in Chatham.

This role will involve providing sound clinical judgement and leadership to support the team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to support sexual health needs.

Key duties include leading the team in safely delivering patient-centred care, consistently monitoring quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Applicants should have a nursing or midwifery qualification, be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and have evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice or be willing to work towards a Sexual Health qualification.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have practical experience in managing health-related projects/complex caseloads, a minimum of 18 months experience in a sexual health service or infectious disease service or acute medical experience, and experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages.

We are looking for a flexible and adaptable individual with a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of sexual health and local services, as well as knowledge of current research in sexual health specialty.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Key Requirements
  • Nursing or midwifery qualification and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
