About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Joint Commissioner for Learning Disabilities and Autism to join our team at We Manage Jobs (WMJobs). This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of autistic people and those with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will lead the Integrated Commissioning Team for Learning Disability and Autism, driving forward integrated and joint commissioning activity aligned to national policy, local strategies, and priorities. The team's portfolio includes delivering responsibilities for integrated commissioning for children, young people, and adults as outlined within NHS operational planning guidance and the Care Act.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Integrated Commissioning Team for Learning Disability and Autism, providing strategic direction and guidance to the team.
  2. Develop and implement strategic commissioning intentions for autistic children, young people, and adults, and people with disabilities across Coventry and Warwickshire.
  3. Direct commissioning and transformation activity, including oversight of the workplans for the team.
  4. Financial responsibility to manage cost centres and working closely with finance leads across the system to manage budgets, forecast, and prioritise resources.
  5. Commissioning responsibility extends across a range of specialist health and community-based service provision.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in leading and developing commissioning teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience of working in a commissioning environment, with a deep understanding of commissioning processes and procedures.

What We Offer:

  • An attractive salary package, estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
