Job Summary

Career Teachers is seeking a passionate and experienced Autism Learning Support Specialist to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of supporting children and young people with Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities and associated complexities. An estimated salary for this role is £24,000 - £28,400 per annum (pro rata) or £480 - £550 per week.

Main Duties:
  1. Implement personal care programmes for pupils, promoting their independence and dignity.
  2. Support pupils during lesson time, ensuring they understand instructions and complete tasks to the best of their ability.
  3. Establish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding appropriately to their individual needs.


Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have relevant experience working with children and young people with autism and associated complex needs. You must also be able to provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
