Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Seetec. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting women who are transitioning back into the community after serving time in prison or being given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Structured Living Skills Sessions: Provide daily structured living skills sessions, including leisure and creative activities, to support residents in developing essential life skills.
- Support Resident Independence: Assist residents in dealing with problems and becoming independent, promoting their overall well-being and reintegration into the community.
- Induction and Orientation: Assist with the induction of new residents, ensuring they are familiar with the environment and understand the rules and policies of the Approved Premises.
- Regular Inspections and Reporting: Maintain an active presence in the Approved Premises at all times during the shift, undertaking regular inspections of the building and reporting any significant changes or key information relating to residents.
- Act as Fire Warden and First Aider: Act as Fire Warden and First Aider on duty, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files as required.
- Empathy and Discretion: Demonstrate empathy and use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with good listening skills.
- Computer Literacy: Input and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner.
- Authority and Boundaries: Exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate manner.
- Initiative and Stress Management: Work on own initiative and be able to cope with stressful situations.
