Your Role
  • Provide exemplary leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Guide and encourage young people in their personal growth, empowering them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally within a nurturing setting.
  • Maintain a safe, homely, and positive atmosphere within the residential home, ensuring the well-being of all residents.
  • Effectively manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism, prioritizing the safety and security of both staff and residents.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, social workers, psychologists, and other professionals involved in the young people's care plans.
Your Qualifications
  • A recognized qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working within a residential children's home setting is required.
  • Possession of a full driving license is mandatory due to the potential need for transporting residents.
  • Flexibility to work the designated shift pattern, including evenings and sleep-ins.
