About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Seetec Business Technology Centre. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to women who are reintegrating into the community after serving time in prison or being given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver daily structured living skills sessions, including leisure and creative activities, to support residents in developing essential life skills.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, helping them to overcome challenges and become independent.
  • Assist with the induction of new residents, ensuring they feel welcome and familiar with the environment and rules.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the Approved Premises, undertaking regular inspections and reporting any significant changes or concerns.
  • Act as Fire Warden and First Aider on duty, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrate empathy and tact when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with good listening skills.
  • Input and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Exercise authority and reinforce boundaries in an appropriate manner.
  • Work independently and cope with stressful situations.
