Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with young people, staff, and external agencies to promote their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare and youth work.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualification in Children and Young People or willingness to work towards the qualification, which will be fully funded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to statutory and policy requirements.
  • Full manual driving license.
