Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with young people, staff, and external agencies to ensure the delivery of person-centered care plans.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to statutory and policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level, with proficiency in record-keeping software.
  • A full manual driving license is essential.
