About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing environment for young people.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Support young people in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall management of the residential home.
Requirements
  • Qualified to QCF level 3 in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification which will be fully funded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level, with proficiency in record-keeping and data management.
  • Full manual driving license essential.
