Job Summary

Polaris Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our residential adolescent care team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of personalized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe and supportive living environment.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of young people's progress and care.

Requirements

  • Full manual driving license
  • Previous experience working with challenging young people (desirable, not essential)
  • Willingness to work towards a fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic nature and ability to engage with young people
  • Good oral and written communication skills
