Mental Health Practitioner for Youth Offending Team

We are looking for a skilled mental health professional to support the Youth Offending Team in addressing the mental health needs of young people. The successful candidate will provide consultation, assessments and interventions as required, working closely with the CAMHS Specialist Trauma and Relational Therapies team.
The post holder will have experience in conducting mental health assessments and be confident in working with partners and engaging with young people. Specialist supervision and training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy to Level 2 will be provided.
The CAMHS team is a strong and supportive team with excellent structures for regular supervision and support. This is an opportunity to work in a great team to deliver high-quality children's mental health services.
- Professional qualification in nursing, occupational therapy or social work, or relevant therapeutic qualification.
- Evidence of post-registration training and development.
- Previous experience of working with young people aged 10-18 at Band 5 or equivalent.
- Experience of receiving clinical supervision.
- Responsibility for the delivery of care.
- Demonstrate understanding and experience of working with the Early Help Assessment or Integrated Care Plan Approach.
- Experience of working with the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
