About the Role

Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join their team. As an Events Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events, from planning and preparation to execution and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating events, including venue selection, catering, and logistics.
  • Communication and Correspondence: Serve as the primary point of contact for event inquiries, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Event Administration: Process event bookings, manage delegate information, and ensure accurate and up-to-date event records.
  • Sponsor Liaison: Assist with sponsor liaison, ensuring that sponsor packages are fulfilled and that all necessary materials are prepared.
  • Event Preparation: Assist with event preparations, including the production of badges, event documentation, and gathering of materials.
  • Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and analyze costs to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Post-Event Follow-up: Process feedback forms, reorganize materials, and ensure that all necessary follow-up tasks are completed.
  • Event Attendance: Attend events as required, including setup, breakdown, and registration of delegates.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an events or administrative capacity.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, support colleagues, and promote excellent team spirit.
  • Administrative and Organizational Skills: Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • IT Literacy: Excellent IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Mail Merge.
  • Education: Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Travel: Prepared to travel for external meetings and events, which may involve overnight stays (approximately 4 times per year).
