Job Summary:

The Professional Education and Strategic Leadership - Nursing and Midwifery Team at NHS England is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Support Officer to join their PMO team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive project administration support, working across the nursing and midwifery education agenda, contributing to the delivery of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the PMO team, including project coordination, data management, and reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and training sessions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NHS staff, partners, and vendors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new digital platforms and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a similar role or industry, with a strong understanding of project administration and coordination.

Working Arrangements:

NHS England operates a hybrid model of working, with 40% in-person working and 60% home working expected. There may be occasional requirements to travel nationally and stay overnight to support events and activities associated with the training.

Secondments:

Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only, with agreement from their employer prior to submitting the application.
