About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Area Tenancy Manager to join our Housing Management Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end tenancies for a patch of social tenants or licensees.

Your primary focus will be on developing detailed knowledge across various areas of tenancy management, including voids, lettings, income and arrears, anti-social behaviour (ASB), and providing holistic, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tenancies for a designated patch of social tenants or licensees
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of tenancy management best practices
  • Work with services across the Council to ensure vulnerable tenants have access to necessary services
  • Improve the quality and perception of the Housing Management Service
  • Uphold guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023
Requirements

We are looking for resilient individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are not afraid of hard work. You should have a great sense of humour, team spirit, and strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy and tenant satisfaction.

Knowledge of local authority statutory and support services related to housing, awareness of relevant housing legislation and welfare benefits, and excellent organisational and IT skills are essential.
