Wembley Greater London, United Kingdom Brent Council-Housing Full time

Are you an ambitious Housing Officer looking for a new challenge where no two days are the same?
We’re seeking Area Tenancy Managers to join Brent’s Housing Management Service and help us deliver our fantastic transformation agenda. The Housing Management Service is undergoing an exciting restructure designed to improve wellbeing and access to training and development for our staff. This transformation will allow you to focus on creating meaningful change within your housing patches, making a tangible impact on the community.
As an Area Tenancy Manager (Housing Officer), you’ll manage the end-to-end tenancies for a patch of social tenants or licensees.
You'll have the opportunity to develop detailed knowledge across various areas of tenancy management, including voids, lettings, income and arrears, anti-social behaviour (ASB), and providing holistic, person-centred support.
With a consistent housing patch, you’ll improve the quality and perception of the Housing Management Service. You’ll work with services across the Council to ensure vulnerable tenants have access to services they need, and Brent’s estates and homes are good quality, safe, and secure.
You will also uphold the guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, demonstrating a commitment to improving standards and ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing in compliance with this critical legislation.
Knowledge of local authority statutory and support services related to housing, awareness of relevant housing legislation and welfare benefits, and excellent organisational and IT skills are essential.
You’ll excel in this role if you are committed to making a difference, can work independently, and are eager to learn and develop your career.
Brent is a vibrant London borough known for its iconic Wembley Stadium and rich cultural diversity.
We offer manageable workloads with consistent housing patches, opportunities for training and career development across various housing service areas, and a supportive team culture where laughter and friendships thrive.
Additionally, we operate a hybrid working model with office or on-site presence three times a week.
