About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Officer to join our team. As a Data Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data recorded in our hospital information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data quality checks to identify errors and inconsistencies in administrative and clinical patient data.
  • Collaborate with the Data Quality team to develop and implement data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide feedback and support to staff to ensure high-quality data entry practices.
  • Run routine data quality reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in processes to ensure errors are corrected and documented.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of medical terminology and NHS data definitions.
  • Experience working with hospital information systems and NHS data.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
