About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Officer to join their team. As a Data Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data recorded in the hospital information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data quality checks to identify errors and inconsistencies in administrative and clinical patient data
  • Collaborate with the Data Quality team to develop and implement data quality improvement plans
  • Provide training and support to staff on data quality procedures and best practices
  • Develop and maintain reports to track data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Work closely with the Information team to resolve data quality issues and ensure data accuracy

Requirements

  • Good understanding of medical terminology and NHS data definitions
  • Experience working with hospital information systems and NHS data
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
