Data Quality Specialist

About the Role
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Officer to join their team. As a Data Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data recorded in the hospital information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data quality checks to identify errors and inconsistencies in administrative patient and activity recording data.
- Collaborate with the Information team to resolve queries and provide feedback on problem areas.
- Run routine data quality reports from the Epic system to ensure data meets national standards.
- Participate in processes to ensure errors are corrected and documented, escalating issues to the Data Quality Manager as necessary.
Requirements
- Good understanding of medical terminology and experience working with Hospital Information Systems and NHS data.
- High level of computer literacy and confident in the use of MS Office IT software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate professionally with a range of people.
- Ability to work on own initiative and effectively within a team.
