The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Specialist to join our team. As a Data Quality Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data recorded in our hospital information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data quality checks to identify errors and inconsistencies in administrative and clinical patient data.
- Collaborate with the Data Quality team to develop and implement data quality improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with clinicians, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to resolve data quality issues and improve data entry processes.
- Develop and maintain reports to track data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in processes to ensure that errors are corrected and documented, and escalate any issues to the Data Quality Manager as necessary.
- Good understanding of medical terminology and NHS data standards.
- Experience working with hospital information systems and NHS data or equivalent.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and proactively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex problems simply.
- Ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team.
