About the Role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Officer to join our team. As a Data Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data recorded in our hospital information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data quality checks to identify errors and inconsistencies in administrative patient and activity recording data.
  • Collaborate with the Information team to resolve queries and ensure data quality standards are met.
  • Run routine data quality reports to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to staff.
  • Participate in processes to ensure errors are corrected and documented, escalating any issues to the Data Quality Manager as necessary.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of medical terminology and experience working with hospital information systems and NHS data.
  • High level of computer literacy and confident in the use of MS Office IT software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate professionally with a range of people.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and effectively within a team.
