About the Job

Kent County Council's Fostering Team in Canterbury and Dover is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join their team. This position involves managing a diverse caseload, delivering training sessions for prospective foster carers and kinship carers, and collaborating with the team manager to achieve high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring that all clients receive the necessary support and guidance.
  • Preparation Training: Deliver comprehensive training sessions for prospective foster carers and kinship carers to equip them with the necessary skills to provide excellent care.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team manager and contribute to service delivery by providing accurate advice and support to foster and kinship applicants.
  • Partnerships and Network: Develop close working relationships with statutory agencies, voluntary organizations, private sector partners, carers, and parents to achieve good outcomes for children and their families.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, local policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Professional Development: Attend training courses and development opportunities to stay compliant with Social Work England and Social Care Capability Framework requirements.
Estimated Salary and Benefits
