About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Recruitment Assistant Manager to join our team at Durham University. As a key member of our Student Recruitment and Admissions (SRA) department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, strategically aligned events to undergraduate prospects, applicants, and offer holders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Student Recruitment Manager in the delivery of large-scale events, including Open Days, Offer Holder Days, and Discover Durham Tours.
  • Develop and implement event strategies to engage prospective students and key stakeholders, showcasing the University's key selling points.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, faculties, and colleges to develop recruitment and conversion activities.
  • Represent the University at events and activities, contributing to wider recruitment and conversion efforts.
  • Manage budgets and expenditure, including buying and returning goods and services.
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or a Post-16 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in event planning and delivery, with a focus on recruitment and conversion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Strong digital competence, including Microsoft 365 applications and bespoke business systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
