The Deputy Head of Student Registry is a key leadership position within the Student and Academic Services Directorate at Durham University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Student Registry team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to students, and contributing to the development of operational plans.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop the Student Registry team to ensure a customer-focused service is provided.
- Oversee the analysis of data about service levels and make recommendations for improvement.
- Allocate and monitor designated budgets, expenditure, and resources.
- Contribute to the development of operational plans relevant to Student Registry.
- Provide professional guidance and advice when managing Student Registry services.
- Design creative and innovative communications to promote and increase engagement relating to Student Registry services.
- Represent Student Registry and University at promotional events.
- Education to degree level (or equivalent experience).
- Professional practitioner with specialist knowledge and expertise to influence service delivery.
- Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers and colleagues.
- Experience of participating in internal or external networks to share and discuss good practice.
- Experience of implementing policies and procedures and supporting service improvements.
- Track record of management and development experience applied across a large service team or teams.
- Experience of managing service delivery in a customer service environment.
- Experience of successfully managing change projects, including business process re-engineering.
- Working knowledge of a corporate IT systems such as the Banner Student Records system/Technology One timetabling/exam scheduling software.
