At Prospero Teaching, we are seeking an experienced Learning Support Specialist to join our team as a SEND Specialist Tutor. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who can create, plan, and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels.

The role involves working one-to-one with students who have struggled to stay engaged with their learning, often due to anxiety or unsupported needs. As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will be responsible for providing structure and support to help students re-engage with their education and develop a love for learning.

This is a part-time position, typically taking place during school hours, five days a week. You will work closely with Prospero Teaching to monitor the progression of each student and submit weekly reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and delivering tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Providing one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance
  • Monitoring student progress and submitting regular reports

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 hours per week, per student
  • A competitive hourly rate of £25 (negotiable)
  • Experience working with students with SEND or challenging behaviour
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • UK classroom teaching experience

Earnings Estimate: $32,400 per annum based on 30 hours per week at £25 per hour.
