Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £28,080 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek, plus potential sleep-in allowance of up to £6,183 per year.
Job Description
As a Senior Support Worker at Phoenix Learning and Care, you will be responsible for leading shifts and supporting the Registered Manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections. You will also work closely with children to ensure they have the best quality of life possible, engaging in activities such as baking, outings, and holidays. Your role will involve monitoring their development, maintaining accurate records, and participating in our on-call rota.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with children who may have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
- A valid driving license, as you will be required to transport children.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A qualification in residential childcare or willingness to pursue one, with support provided by the organization.
