Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker to join our team in the Dorset area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

About the Position

In this full-time locum role, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments of children's needs and developing effective plans to support them. You will work closely with families to provide support, guidance, and advice to help them achieve their goals.

You will need to prepare reports for courts and other meetings, present to a variety of professionals, and maintain accurate records. A strong understanding of statutory legislation, policy, and procedures related to Children's Social Work services is essential.

Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory legislation, policy, and procedures related to Children's Social Work services.
  • Experience with permanency planning and procedures.
  • Understanding of Child Protection Procedures as outlined in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and input data into the core computer system.
  • Familiarity with child sexual exploitation and abuse.
