We are seeking an experienced Young Person and Family Outreach Worker to join our CAMHS Crisis and Liaison Psychiatry Service. This part-time (30 hours) role requires significant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people with mental health presentations and their families.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside Practitioners to provide intensive, time-limited interventions to reduce mental health risk and distress for Children and Young People on the CAMHS caseload.

The successful candidate will have a flexible and hardworking approach, essential for managing the demands of working within a Crisis Service. They will also be able to work as part of a dynamic team to deliver therapeutic interventions and treatment to children and young people with high-risk and complex presentations.

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust offers a competitive salary of around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. As well as this, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work with a forward-looking Trust.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with Children and Young People on the CAMHS caseload who require an intensive, time-limited intervention to reduce mental health risk and distress.
  • Providing therapeutic interventions and treatment to children and young people with high-risk and complex presentations.
