Support Worker for Children with SEN

GSL Education is looking for a skilled Support Worker for Children with SEN to work closely with students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment. As a Support Worker for Children with SEN, you will assist teachers in creating tailored lesson plans, provide one-on-one support to students, and help foster an inclusive classroom environment.
**Responsibilities:**
- Support students with additional needs in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
- Implement individualised learning plans tailored to each student.
- Foster engagement in classroom activities and encourage positive learning outcomes.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment with the teacher.
- Observe and report on student progress to inform teaching strategies.
- Provide emotional and social support to students when needed.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Previous experience working with children with SEN or in an educational setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2/3, are desirable but not essential.
**Salary and Benefits:** The estimated hourly salary for this position is £13.50 per hour, dependent on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
