About the Job

As a Child Welfare Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Social Workers who provide critical support to vulnerable children and families in Tameside. With a strong focus on child-centred practice, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies that promote the well-being and safety of children.

With a deep understanding of child welfare and protection principles, you will provide expert guidance and supervision to Social Workers to ensure they are equipped to meet the complex needs of children and families. Your leadership skills and experience will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including children, families, and other professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Social Workers to deliver high-quality child welfare services
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for children
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Social Workers to enhance their practice
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
