Occupational Therapist for SEN Support

Academics is seeking a dedicated Graduate to join their team as an Aspiring Occupational Therapist, working with children aged 4-19 who face various barriers due to their complex needs.
About AcademicsWe are a lovely school in Camberley that focuses on addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students, prioritizing individual happiness and well-being.
You will work alongside teachers and specialist staff, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors, to support students with learning difficulties, autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, SEMH needs, and associated challenging behaviours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consistency and equip children with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe they can succeed in life
- Work collaboratively with professionals to develop tailored support plans and strategies
- Maintain robust relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Able to remain calm and resilient in situations of stress or conflict
- High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener
- Excellent on-site training and support
- CPD opportunities to ensure safeguarding of all students
- A competitive daily rate: £85-£110 per day (Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, term time only)
