Job Overview

The Academics team is seeking an Education Support Professional to join our dynamic and supportive environment. This role provides a unique opportunity for a psychology graduate to work with neurodiverse children and young people as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant.

We are based in Surrey, providing support for secondary-aged pupils with a wide range of learning and behavioural needs. All students have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) detailing their specific needs.

Salary and Benefits

This rewarding position offers a competitive salary of £83-90 per day, ensuring you can focus on making a positive impact in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support students with various learning needs, including autism, Down's syndrome, speech and language challenges, and social, emotional needs.
  2. Implement effective communication techniques within classes of 6-8 students.
  3. Collaborate with therapists, including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists, and counsellors.
  4. Provide extensive 1-1 support for every pupil.
  5. Utilize specialist communication methods such as Makaton and PECS.
  6. Assist in preparing GCSE subjects and tailoring the curriculum to individual needs.
  7. Work towards becoming a Speech and Language Therapist.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a psychology degree or specialist SEN training.
