Job Title: Programme Manager

Join our team at Northumberland National Park Authority as a Programme Manager, where you will play a key role in supporting farmers and landowners to build climate change resilience and create networks to support each other.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Manager to lead our programme in farming and forestry land management policy and grant schemes. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current Natural Environment policy and issues facing rural upland communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and allocate programme funding to support farmers and landowners in building climate change resilience
  • Work with partners in collaborative projects to achieve environmental improvement and habitat connectivity
  • Provide technical guidance and support to farmers and landowners on agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, landowners, and other partners
Requirements
  • Confident in the use of information technology systems, including Microsoft Office 365 and GIS applications
  • Experience of managing grant-aided projects, including working to deadlines and managing budgets using spreadsheets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
