Job Description

Join Northumberland National Park Authority as a Programme Manager and contribute to building climate change resilience in rural upland communities.

About the Role

We are seeking a Programme Manager to work alongside farmers and landowners, supporting them to access funding streams and build climate change and Brexit resilience. You will help manage and allocate programme funding, as well as provide guidance on agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with farmers and landowners to access funding streams and build climate change and Brexit resilience
  • Manage and allocate programme funding
  • Provide guidance on agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes
  • Collaborate with partners on projects to achieve environmental improvement and habitat connectivity

Requirements

  • Confident in the use of information technology systems, including Microsoft Office 365 and GIS applications
  • Experience of managing grant-aided projects, including working to deadlines and managing budgets using spreadsheets
  • Track record of working with partners in collaborative projects
