Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team at Northumberland National Park Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a programme aimed at building climate change resilience and supporting farmers and landowners in accessing funding streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate programme funding to support farmers and landowners in accessing funding streams.
  • Work alongside farmers and landowners to build climate change resilience and create networks to support each other.
  • Support the development and implementation of agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes.
  • Provide expertise on current Natural Environment policy and issues facing rural upland communities.
  • Confidently use information technology systems, including Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, and GIS applications.
  • Experience of managing grant-aided projects, including working to deadlines, managing budgets using spreadsheets, and reporting to funders.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with partners in collaborative projects.
  • Strong understanding of environmental conservation and sustainability principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
