Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme Manager

Join our team at Northumberland National Park Authority and contribute to building climate change resilience in rural upland communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside farmers and landowners, supporting them to access funding streams, build climate change and Brexit resilience, and create networks to support each other.

You will have the chance to manage and allocate programme funding, while developing your skills in agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support farmers and landowners in accessing funding streams and building climate change resilience
  • Manage and allocate programme funding
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of programme strategies and policies

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of agricultural and forestry land management policy and grant schemes
  • Ability to influence partners and stakeholders to achieve effective delivery
  • Confident use of information technology systems, including Microsoft Office 365 and GIS applications
