At Academics Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs. We are seeking a qualified Teacher of Students with Complex Needs to join our team at a Specialist School in Salisbury.

About the Role

The school caters for students with complex learning requirements, including Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.

As an ideal candidate, you will have experience working with students with complex needs and be able to develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students with complex learning needs using specialized strategies and techniques
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure seamless support and care
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness
Requirements
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Strong academic background and relevant qualifications
  • Experience working in an SEN setting, preferably with similar age ranges
  • Makaton training and Team Teach experience highly desirable
  • A natural caring personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
