Job Title: Psychology Specialist in Physical Health Care

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist assessment and intervention within a physical health context, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality psychological assessment and treatment to clients across various care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and in-patient settings.
  • Conduct cognitive and neuropsychological assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation, teaching, and training on psychological interventions and assessment techniques.
  • Develop and implement service development initiatives to improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and education programs to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent experience.
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience working in mental health liaison services or similar environments.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic patient records.
