About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Advisor to join our team at Tamaki Health. In this exciting role, you will work alongside our GP clinics providing brief behavioural and psychological interventions to support mental and physical health and wellbeing for our clinic populations.

The ideal candidate will have a post-graduate qualification enabling them to work therapeutically with clients and registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA). They will also have experience working with clients and their whānau with at least 6 months experience in a team or clinical setting, as well as experience in working in evidence-based therapeutic models particularly brief psychological interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide brief behavioural and psychological interventions to support mental and physical health and wellbeing for our clinic populations
  • Work alongside multi-cultural GP teams, health coaches and community support workers in a collaborative and integrated manner
  • Support nurses and GPs to promote well-being in routine GP care
